Bundle up // layers and mixing prints

The winter weather is upon us! If you live anywhere that drops below 40 degrees during the winter you know that layering is important for basic survival. Seriously. I like to avoid wearing coats as long as possible but we are kind of past those days now. Dressing to stay warm outside but then going inside to where the heat is blasting is a problem we tend to encounter during the winter months. Enter layering and clothing that can be shed with ease. Scarves, vests and sweaters are great ways to keep warm and are easy to take off. Here I layered a long sleeve tee under an cable knit sweater to add warmth. My latest mixing obsession is plaid and stripes! I love this basic old navy tee with a J.Crew sweater and plaid vest plus lots of jewelry to finish it off. Put your own spin on this outfit and show me how you mix patterns and layers!

Vest & Striped tee: Old Navy // Cable Knit: J.Crew(old) similar // Jeans: J.Crew// Sparkle Necklace: Emily Anne , Pearl stack :J.Crew
