Simple oversized knits & Layers

Layering is essential for anyone who wants to survive the winter especially if  you live in the Northeast or Midwest ( just ask anyone who lives there , we can attest to this)! Learning to master the art of layering can take some time but there are a few basic pieces that can be paired together and mixed into numerous combinations.

I like to start with a base layer.  A longer neutral colored button down like this white shirt I chose is a great base. You can mix numerous sweaters, capes and blazers over it.

Next comes a great sweater, I love this  super chunky one from H&M which has a hi-lo thing going on so that my button down peaks out from underneath.

In case you haven't noticed, this beanie is my bff this winter. Note to self: next winter invest in more beanies in different colors!

Finally, I like to roll my jeans just a tad and pair with a cute pair of ankle booties.  These are so comfy, currently on sale and can be worn all year round. Win win win.
