1 Peter 1:24

"All men are like grass,and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,but the word of the Lord stands forever" 1 Peter 1:24


I think this bible verse is such a beautiful picture of life and yet also of death. When Jesus said that men are like grass which fades away it just made me picture the big moments of our life, here for a moment and then only a memory. Every spring comes new life and growth all around, only to be burned and scorched by the sun and eventually killed by the winter frost. Instead of building up glory for yourself on earth and focusing on selfish ambition, build upon things that stand firm forever such as the Word and live a life Holy and pleasing to him.
